Find deals by sector

A worked example: building a sector-specific view of M&A activity for market mapping or benchmarking.

The goal

You want to understand deal volume and typical deal size within a single sector over time.

Go to Transactions searchOpen the search view from the top navigation.
Set Sector to your target industryNarrows results to transactions involving target companies in that sector.
Set a broad date rangeA multi-year window gives you a trend, not just a snapshot.
Export and analyzeExport the full result set to build your own volume and valuation charts.

Note: For very large or niche sectors, narrowing by deal type (e.g. buyout only) before exporting will keep your dataset focused.
