Filters to apply

  1. Go to PE Firms searchOpen the search view from the top navigation.
  2. Set Sector Focus to "Software"This narrows to firms whose stated investment focus includes software.
  3. Set Strategy to "Buyout"Excludes venture and growth-stage-only investors if you specifically want control buyers.
  4. Set Activity to "Last 12 months"Filters out firms with a stated software focus but no recent deals in the space.
  5. Sort by number of portfolio companiesSurfaces the most active players first.

Variations

Swap "Software" for any sector, or "Buyout" for "Growth Equity" to find growth investors instead of control buyers. The same filter combination works across any vertical.
